The Triunfo Papooses held our first dinner meeting at Taylor's home.  The kids made necklaces out of beads, played with Barbie dolls, hit wiffleballs in the backyard, and ate pizza and cookies.  And more cookies.  And then some more cookies!  Finally, Alan read a story to all the kids.

Eight kids and their dads met at Sumac Park in Agoura for our first YMCA-sponsored Papoose event of the 2011-2012 school year.  The kids decorated frames for pictures with their fathers.  Then the kids ate snacks and played at the playground.  Welcome to Papoose, everyone!

Over 200 kids, moms, and dads converged on Willow Elementary School in Agoura on September 10 to celebrate the Triunfo YMCA's annual membership barbecue.  The kids enjoyed an inflatable slide, balloon animals, magic tricks, a makeup trailer, and the Y's world-renowned cheeseburgers and hot dogs.

Many dads bought vests for their kids and themselves to wear at Papoose (and then Indian Guide and Princess) meetings and events for years to come.  Thirteen families officially registered for Papoose, so we're off and running!  Wakonda!
