The Papoose boys and dads enjoyed dinner, Lego, stories, pizza, and cookie cake at Miles and Cooper's home.  The boys tried to build Lego towers that went all the way to the moon!  (The best part was watching the Lego fall down.)  The boys also celebrated Sam's birthday with our traditional Papoose cookie cake.

The Papoose girls and dads met at Sabina's home for arts and crafts, pizza, veggies, and lots and lots of cookies.  The girls sang happy birthday to Carolin, and then Andy read a story to the girls.  Andy also showed the dads his 3-D television, which was the most fun aspect of the evening (for the dads, anyway).  Our thanks to Andy and Sabina and their family for hosting our monthly meeting!

The Papoose boys and girls became "mad scientists" at Sumac Elementary School on Sunday, January 8.  First, the children created butterfly collages with tissue paper and paste.  Then, everyone went outside to make "oceans in a bottle," with water, food coloring, and cooking oil.  Next, the children made "Gak" with glue, starch, and food coloring.  Finally, everyone went back inside to make (and eat!) ice cream.  Yummy!

Our special thanks to Peter and Chrissy from the Triunfo YMCA for hosting this special event!
